Immanuel God With Us

Immanuel (or Emmanuel, Hebrew עִמָּנוּאֵל meaning “God is with us”)

This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit. Because Joseph her husband was a righteous man and did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly.

But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.”

All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: “The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel—which means, “God with us.

When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife. But he had no union with her until she gave birth to a son. And he gave him the name Jesus. – Matthew 1:18-25

Immanuel God With Us, In Old Testament

Then Isaiah said, “Hear now, you house of David! Is it not enough to try the patience of men? Will you try the patience of my God also? Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him, Immanuel. He will eat curds and honey when he knows enough to reject the wrong and choose the right. Isaiah 7:13-15

Immanuel Will Rule from Now and Forever!

Emmanuel God With Us

For to us a Child is born,
to us a Son is given,
and the government will be on His shoulders.
And He will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Of the increase of His government and peace
there will be no end.
He will reign on David’s throne
and over His kingdom,
establishing and upholding it
with justice and righteousness
from that time on and forever. – Isaiah 9:6-7

Immanuel God is With Us In The Flesh!

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning.

Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it. – John 1:1-5

What is the Holy Bible saying here? Read further down the chapter to understand!

Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in His name, he gave the right to become children of God— children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.

The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. – John 1:12-14

It’s like this…Would you ask me to go tell your spouse or girlfriend that you love her? I don’t think so! You’d do it yourself. Likewise, God loves us so much, that He came down here to show us His love with His arms wide open, nailed to the cross.

Do you know if you’re going to heaven? Want to be sure? God never made it complicated, and I’m not here to teach religion, but rather show you God gave us the simplest method to receive Him! It’s simple. Through faith by saying the prayer of salvation.
